1 MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING
Notes in lieu of the September meeting and Minutes of the Special Meeting held Friday 28th August were circulated to all members.
2. MATTERS ARISING
2.1 Local Policing issues – PCSO Glenn Patchett explained that since lockdown, they have been without the volunteers who create the Police Reports, but as staff are now back at work Reports covering the period March to September have been forwarded. Copies were circulated by e-mail to all Councillors.
Two crimes were reported for Kettlethorpe Parish, one in July, where an ex-partner withdrew money from a bank account, but has since repaid it and another where a window was broken at Drinsey Nook travellers’ site

2.2 Jubilee Park – i. Play area - Now in use. Covid advisory notices provided on site and on the notice board.
ii. Park nameplate - requires attention as the wood is looking shabby. A former councillor has offered to attempt a repair.
iii. Rospa have carried out their Annual Inspection of the Play area. The Report has been circulated online and a hard copy passed to the Chairman. See Finance item 5.2 for invoice.
2.3 Highways – i. Request for footpaths - in hand. Newton clerk contacted this and other Parishes to ask if they would offer money towards the issue. Negative response advised from this Parish.
ii. Bridge, Sallie Bank footpath – damaged flagstone reported to LCC 12th May, (ref 371264). Further report made 31 July but no response.
iii. Residents’ complaint, Newark Rd – Residents were unhappy that one household was appropriating the Highways’ verge by planting in front of their property. LCC advised, bush removed, and area now seeded.
2.5 Parish Facebook – Contact the clerk with any items for forwarding to Facebook.
2.6 i. Troughs – Sponsorship. Further discussion is required about withdrawing the facility; advising the sponsors and providing notices that relate to Parish issues e.g. speeding, safety etc.
2.6 ii. Troughs – Levelling / Cleaning / Compost - The troughs had been tidied up and replanted them with leylandii and cordylines, for which the Chairman offered his thanks. (See Finance 5.3 for account)
2.7 Repairs to Propeller Memorial – Further e-mail sent to repairman, but no response to date.
2.10 Remembrance poppies – 30 extra poppies ordered, collected and now to hand with clerk.
2.11 Parish Website – training is beginning on the new style website.

5. FINANCE
5.1 MKS - Parish grass cutting on 11th & 30th September – Invoice No 2049 £314.40 including VAT
5.2 RoSPA – Annual inspection of Play Area, Invoice No. 51183 - £107.40 incl: VAT
5.3 Plants for village troughs – 6 cordyline / 9 conifers - £42.00
5.4 PAYE / Salary for end September.
Payment of the above items was agreed by members and was paid accordingly
5.5 Claim submitted to LCC for Parish Amenity grass cutting - £491.23, not yet received
5.6 Parish Accounts – to month ending 30th September. The balance at the bank is £14,450.03 and the expenditure, £5,776.49.
NEXT MEETING This will take place when coronavirus restrictions have been lifted. Current event notes to be circulated each month.
